Daggan devlog #1


Yes, not a single update or post since a dozen of weeks, but don’t think I abandoned the game! How dare you ! Far from it ! I’m just preparing a bigger release than I expected. Thankfully a lot of kind players sent me their feedback so it was faster to improve the game’s experience and fixe strange issues. I’m working hard on the new features, like the one everyone is waiting for : the lewd stuff ! The next update will be published around the first week of December.


I’d like to thank all the people who spent their time trying this crappy prototype, following this project. Those who took the time to write me an exhaustive critic with a lot of feedback. Thanks for sharing the weird bugs you encountered, they were unintended but at least I had a few laughs discovering you’re screenshots ! You are awesome, and even if you clearly hated the game, thank you for taking the time to try it and share your thoughts <3


I guess some of you enjoyed the tiny map with the cute river in the middle. I agree it was a decent level to test the main systems of the game. This is over ! It's time to grow up and be way more serious. Now you’ll have to explore the biggest map I’ve made so far, 300x300 meters full of deserts, cliffs, ponds, forests and bad guys ! And you’re gonna think twice before building anything now.



Oh boi ... I really hope you'll love it! I mean I was looking for a lewd gameplay for a while and it might be the right direction, but it needs a lot of work. You can have sex with other characters in the game through a collaborative card game. But since there will be 3D animations to « illustrate » each card … I'll make only a few cards for the next release. So I will public a simple version of this gameplay: you can make your own deck, choose your character, then I’ll take my time to make aaaaaall the animations through the next builds.



The current buildings in the game are … hum let’s be frank: ugly. I just wanted to highlight the new building system, but now I can say it proudly, the next ones will be really cool ! I remade all the 3d models and more, you’ll be able to realize stone and wooden buildings.


One last thing, I spent a lot of time trying to find an art direction matching my comic style. I learnt a lot while sculpting stylized assets and making handpainted textures. The mood, the experience are way better than the previous prototype. It's inspired by the character's shaders of BotW and the lowpoly style of games like Team Fortress 2 or Warcraft. Slowly but surely, the game is finding its personality.
